Guyanese Recipe Bara
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of Flour
- 1/2 cup of split peas powder
- 1/ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Geerah
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric
- - Chopped Green onions (shallots)
- - Garlic
- - Pepper
- - Spinach
Method
- In a bowl add all ingredients
- use Luke warm water to
- beat for 3 mins
- Cover and allow to rise (double in size)
- Fry in hot oil
- cover and allow to rise (double it's size) -(2 hrs)
- fry in batches in a frying pan of hot oil
